Through study and participation
in the Fine Arts, students develop the attitudes, skills and knowledge
needed for lifelong learning, and to meet the challenges of the changing
workplace and world. Fine Arts students develop artistic skills, creativity,
self-discipline, self-motivation and self-confidence.
| Music:
S.T.A. offers a full music
program including Grade 8 and Grade 9 Concert Bands, Junior and
Senior Concert Bands, Junior and Senior Jazz Ensembles, and a Chamber
Choir. Every second year the Music and Drama Departments combine
their efforts and talents to produce a major dramatic production.
On alternate years an extensive band trip is undertaken.

Each year senior students take part in the Painters
at Painters' Retreat in Campbell River. This exciting program
lets students meet and work with well known artists from British Columbia. |
