Social Studies 11

Course Outline
Social Studies 11 is a study of Canadian history from 1900 to the present. Special emphasis is placed upon the structure of the Canadian government, the development of Canadian independence, Quebec in Canada, and the challenges of having a multinational and bilingual society. The course will also cover Canada’s relations with the rest of the world and study global concerns such as population growth, the distribution of resources, and the impact of industrialization and technology on contemporary society.
