Established in 2014 to recognize a Gr. 12 student who intends to enter a post-secondary school in the fall, who has made a significant contribution to Environmental Stewardship on the North Shore and who has demonstrated leadership and volunteerism in school and/or community service. $1000 is available. The application requires a 500 word essay. See Mrs. Maledy for details. All applications must be received (not postmarked) by April 30, 2017.
2017-04-18Service HoursStill in need for service hours? Time and opportunities are running out! St. Pius X Church and school is having a Spring Fair. They are specifically looking for 4-5 volunteers to help them with set up on Friday May 12th from 4:30pm-7:30pm. Duties that evening will include assisting the CWL to set up the tables for the craft fair, moving supplies, and decorating. On Saturday May 13th they are looking for an additional 25 volunteers--ideally one group of 12 volunteers from 8:30am-11:30am and another group of 13 volunteers 11:30am-2:30pm. Duties on the day of the fair will include setting up the games, supervising games such as basketball toss and lawn bowling, face painting, and assisting the CWL with clearing tables from the meal area.
